When it’s time to service your prestige car you’ll want to make sure it’s in the best hands.
If you drive a German model, such as a BMW, Audi or Volkswagen, your best bet is to take it to an independent mechanic who specialises in German makes and models. Why? Because you’re guaranteed to get superior customer service from a certified mechanic you can trust.
1. Certified, Qualified German Service Providers
Before booking your car in for a service, make sure the service provider is a certified mechanic, qualified to undertake German car repairs and perform routine car services on your vehicle. It’s pretty easy for anyone to call themselves ‘qualified’ these days. When it comes to your prestige car, you’ll want to know that the person working on it really does have their qualifications! Look for mechanics that are members of their local automobile association and other trade organisations. They aren’t ‘qualifications’ as such – but it will add to your confidence in hiring them. Some mechanics choose to specialise in particular areas of their field, or focus specifically on certain makes and models of vehicles. Why not look for a specialist mechanic if you’re driving a prestige German model? Makes sense!
2. Match the Quality of Your Mechanic to the Quality of Your Car
Tempted to take your prestige car to a dealership mechanic or the cheapest service provider around? Don’t. It’s not worth it. We’ve all heard the saying “you get what you pay for” and in the case of prestige cars, this is certainly true. You’ve paid a lot for your vehicle – don’t skimp on the price of proper servicing. Matching your car’s servicer to its level of quality may be more expensive, but you know you’ll be getting high quality car parts you can trust from a mechanic who knows their way around your BMW, Audi or Volkswagen, inside out.
3. For Customer Service as Good as the Car You Drive
We expect you’d also like your customer service to be just as prestige as your vehicle. An experienced independent mechanic can offer you exceptional client service, superior product knowledge, while appreciating the value of your BMW and its unique needs.
You’ll feel confident and secure booking your car in for its service, and will enjoy working with professionals who take pride in their level of service.

The rubber hoses in your car are continually exposed to extreme temperatures, putting them under regular pressure. Sometime these hoses can crack, releasing hot water. Before your trip, take a look at where both the input and output radiator hoses attach to the engine and to the radiator. Often extra stress on the hose from the pipe collar and hose clamp means they typically crack and fail in that spot, so be sure to check there. If your hoses have cracks or blisters, replace them.
